The Return of the Flowers?

So where is spring? Normally by this time of the year back home I would of seen a beautiful and colourful display of spring flowers such as daffodils, crocuses, primroses, snowdrops and soon during this month bluebells and cherry blossom. However here in New York so far there is still no sign of spring. The trees are bare, there is no hint of colour from spring flowers and this morning we had more snowfall! It feels like its still January, which is confusing my brain and body.

I have become so desperate to see flowers and colour that I have taken to making my own out of anything I can find. Here are some pictures of my attempt to coax spring to appear and warm my days.

The Green flowers on the right I can’t take credit for. My husband made them for our wedding anniversary in December. He made a whole bouquet of Green flowers (that was our colour theme) and white flowers which were made out of copies of our marriage certificate! I included them here because they are always on display in our bedroom and they cheer me up.

  5. Wow, so many beautiful flowers, you've used so many techniques! Really crafty! I love the idea that your husband made those green flowers and even used the copies of your wedding certificate, awww <3

BTW, When you mentioned daffodils it reminded me of my favorite movie, Big Fish and that made me smile. I love how Evan McGregor says "Daffodils" :D

I'm here from awesome Aquariann's spring blog hop! :)
